Coins from Dacia Inferior
Greeks called step-like area, north of Danube, Scythia. Romans called whole area inhabited by Geto-Dacian tribes Dacia.

Dacia was conquered by emperor Trajan in 106 AD. While mountainious upper Dacia was made Roman province, lower Dacia was briefly ruled from Moesia Inferior and later only through clients.
